With your instructor or an instructor we find, WETCC can meet your industry and community needs. Training can be provided in Mahnomen at the White Earth Tribal and Community College to save travel costs and work time. Or if you are inviting others to attend a seminar, we can assist with registrations.

Training completed through WETCC Customized Education is maintained as a part of our records so transcripts and verification can be provided when needed.

WETCC students, Customized Education participants, high school students, k-12 staff and faculty, Shooting Star employees, WE RBC employees, and local and regional community members may pursue various certificates offered by Grow With Google at no extra cost. This opportunity is also available to current WETCC staff and faculty. The certificates are offered by Google in partnership with Coursera. They complement specific areas of study and can provide skills useful in a variety of careers. Complete one certificate a time before moving on to another.

Pathways to Prosperity Workforce Trainings

The Pathways to Prosperity Workforce Trainings offer a suite of programs and services aimed at equipping adults with career development skills and training.

Eligibility for the Pathways to Prosperity Grant

Must be 18 years and older and not enrolled in K-12, and one or more of the following to qualify for eligibility. Learn More Here

Self-identify as a minority
Lacking stable housing
At or below the 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines
Unemployed for 15 or more weeks
Individual with disabilities

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) provide out of hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system.
EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies.
EMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system, under medical oversight and perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. EMTs are a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.
Students register with the National Registry of EMTs & take the National Exam.

Child Development Associates (CDA)

The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education (ECE).
It is based on a core set of competency statements, which guide early care professionals as they work toward becoming qualified teachers of young children.
Course work: 120 hours online
480 hours of work/volunteer experience with 3-5 year old’s at a licensed facility (this can be fulfilled retroactively)

Special Boiler Operator License

Understand safe operation and maintenance of pressure boilers.
Become familiar with Minnesota Boiler License Requirements.
Recognize the major hazards associated with boiler operation and ways to prevent them.
Gain working knowledge of boiler water treatment programs, chemicals and equipment.
Troubleshoot basic boiler problems before they become boiler failures.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

This course introduces concepts of:

Basic human needs
Basic nursing skills needed to work as a Nursing Assistant in long term care.
Upon successful completion of classroom studies, the student will participate in supervised clinical experience in a long-term care facility.
This class meets the objectives of the Federal Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) and Minnesota
Department of Health Requirements as detailed for educating the nursing assistant.

Solar Photovoltaic NABCEP Associates

You will receive a Registered Unlicensed Electrician (RUE) credential.
Each intern will receive a free basic electronics kit (a $200 value).
Will prepare for the NABCEP Solar PV Installer Associates Credential Exam.
