Certificate Programs at WETCC Fast-Track Your Skills and Career

College certificates offer a student the ability to validate their knowledge, experience, and training of specific skills within a certain field. The certificate acts as evidence that he/she received and completed training in a specific field during a series of college courses.

We offer evening courses for flexibility, making them ideal for busy schedules and adults with full-time jobs and families.

Ojibwe Language Certificate Program

This program is designed to build proficiency and fluency in students interested in learning the Ojibwe language (anishinaabemowin/ojibwemowin). The student will learn how to use Ojibwemowin in an intuitive and natural way, beyond just Ojibwe words and grammar lists. It will bring Ojibwe back into the home and community, teach immersion pedagogy, provide structured learning and preparation to sit for Eminence testing, fill needed jobs in the area, prepare the students to be able to use Ojibwe as a language of instruction in a classroom setting, and help revitalize the language and culture.

Office Administration Certificate Program

Focus on computer applications such as keyboarding, desktop publishing, and office correspondence. Great to prepare students for job positions such as receptionist, administrative assistant, hotel front desk clerk, or clerk in other office-related positions. Great for office administration jobs.

Court Advocacy Certificate Program

This program offers students educational opportunities specific to Indian Law and focus on the White Earth Tribal Court. Positions within the Tribal Court structure are billable positions for the White Earth Reservation and could generate revenue through third-party billings for the Tribe.
